One of my favorite moments! It was fall of 2013 and I was attempting to pursue an MBA - which culinary school DOES NOT prepare you for, btw. I was miserable, the teachers were low-key bullying me, and I was beginning to wonder if I should drop out. But was so CERTAIN I was supposed to be in that program if I was going to do what I had planned. So, I got in my car after being absolutely REAMED by my econ teacher, ready to tear my hair out, when "Treasure" by Bruno Mars came on the radio. And I hear, clear as day, straight from heaven:

"Pretty girl, pretty girl, pretty girl, you should be smiling

A girl like you should never look so blue (oo-oo)

You're everything I see in my dreams

I wouldn't say that to you if it wasn't true (oo-oo)

It was like Jesus Christ came down here, got in my car, laid His hand on my shoulder, and gave me permission to do what was best for me - not what I thought I thought He wanted me to do. That God adored and was proud of me no matter what choice I made, and that I didn't need a master's to do huge things. Especially not if it was sucking my soul out, because children of God deserve peace and happiness.

Long story short, I dropped out and have never regretted it.
