I feel very fortunate in that my current congregation has a pretty even male : female ratio in most things. Our most active elders and treasurer are women with busy careers - and fellow altos in the choir! At the very least, there has never been any opposition to female leadership in our house. Anyone would be so lucky to have these ladies looking out for them, and I think our congregants are smart enough to know it. But we all cook, we all clean, we all pitch in with child-wrangling, and we all have our own little skills with event planning. I'm sure there must be a gender divide somewhere, but its isn't a prominent one.
