Holla! I love new, better information! Even well-learned people in my life paint the Pharisees in a bad light, so I've ended up never thinking twice about it. The very idea that the sentiment is not shared is rocking my world, which means that it must be good.

It's a shame what a little incorrect knowledge can do, especially when it comes from authority figures you ACTUALLY trust and respect. Much of this story was even based on a sermon he did from years ago, but with my own observations. I wish I had more accurate information when I first wrote this.
